Barpay

Branding, Social, Digital, Environmental Ads

Barpay is an app to get consumers to order drinks in a new way, basically the ‘uber’ of drink apps. It eliminates having to wait in line at a crowded bar for your drink. The app that makes all of the worst parts about going to a bar... better.

I worked with a local marketing agency on developing the brand identity and voice as well as digital collateral to market to their demographic. With an overall younger, edgier crowd, Barpay allowed for a more playful attitude and look.

Their previous logo was sad, grey, and boring and wouldn’t attract a younger customer. Wanting to deliver something that would make them stand out, I designed their winged cup to be both iconic and descriptive at once. They wanted an easy to read icon that would work for their app on a crowded phone screen but also something that wasn’t alcohol specific in-case someone wanted to order water or an alternative beverage.

Their social and digital campaigns fully leaned into the younger generation and wanting to create a fun atmosphere, like Barpay was one of the crew. Using fun catchphrases like “yasssss”, “FOMO”, etc - it would be an easy, quick get for anyone scrolling endlessly through social media.

Barpay went on to have a successful launch in the Charlotte area, getting the numbers they needed in order to tackle even bigger markets and cities. Having their clear, fun, iconic logo and social campaign go off without a hitch was icing on the cake.
